The Winter Exhibition is a seasonal showcase of the best in Irish art, craft and design including paintings, prints, sculpture, ceramics, textiles and much more, with prices to suit every budget in the run-up to Christmas and into the New Year. Support local artists and makers as well as Lavit Gallery, a not-for-profit arts organisation and registered charity. Each year the exhibition features work by over 50 artists and makers including regular contributors and new additions.
On this occasion exhibiting artists and makers include Anne Bologna, Cormac Boydell, Rebecca Bradley, Sarah Buckley, Patricia Burns, Johanna Connor, Carmel Creaner, Tom Doig, Claire Dooley, Sinead Fagan, Angela Fewer, Bridget Flinn, Evelyn Goold, Sonja Guenther, Hubert Bookbindery, Sean Hanrahan, Etain Hickey, Oonagh Hurley, Sarah Iremonger, Antonio Julio Lopez, Marcus Jungmann, Kilcoe Studios, Polly Maher, Julia Mitchell, Paul Murphy (Mindful Maker), Éilis Ní Fhaoláin, Laura McMorrow, Gillian Nunan, Deirdre O’Brien, Noël O’Callaghan, Shane O’Driscoll, Kate O’Kelly, Marta Ozog, Sara Roberts, Joanne Robey, Aoife Soden, Jane Seymour, Eileen Singleton, Brian Smyth, Siobhain Steele, Katharina Treml, Dominic Turner, Dave West. A final list will be announced late October.
Collecting Art Talk & Exhibition Tour, Saturday 21 November, 3pm
This exhibition tour and talk by Gallery Director Brian Mac Domhnaill includes an overview of the artists and artwork in the exhibition and provides valuable insights into the process through which artists come to be exhibited at the gallery. The talk also features suggested strategies for building an art collection, however modest or grand. It is an ideal opportunity for those wondering how best to begin or grow their art collection, whether it be in a private capacity or on behalf of an organisation.
