Brian Mac Domhnaill took up the role of Director of Lavit Gallery in 2022. He has been working as an arts professional since 2013 and has gained considerable experience in the programming, planning, production and marketing of over one hundred visual art exhibitions and associated events. Brian is responsible for programming ten exhibitions per year at Lavit Gallery, acting as curator in some cases, and always with a discerning eye for what is right for the gallery’s remit and its loyal audience and customers. Since 2024 he has been delivering the very popular Collecting Art talk and tour in conjunction with each of the key group exhibitions, which showcase the best in Irish Art, naturally with a Cork focus. Brian is passionate about art and enjoys sharing his experience of art appreciation and collecting, each time tailoring the content to what is on display at the gallery.

Orla McAndrew is a Cork-based chef, writer and zero-waste wedding caterer reshaping how Ireland thinks about food. Known for abundant, seasonal feasts and a fierce commitment to local producers, she creates events that feel intimate, generous and rooted in place. Her debut cookbook Larder (Blasta Books, 2025) celebrates Irish ingredients with honesty and heart. Beyond the kitchen, Orla is a champion of food systems, sustainability and community, using her voice to push for better policy, better hospitality and better ways of gathering.

John Passmore is a Cork-based freelance wine presenter who’s been working with wine for a long time, in a few different ways. He originally started out in winemaking, working in the cellar at Flagstone Winery in South Africa, where he learned first-hand how much care and patience goes into making good wine. Since then, John has spent years on the wine retail and commercial side of things, working closely with independent producers and helping bring their wines to people in a way that feels honest and approachable. Some of you may know him from his time working with Bubble Brothers here in Cork, where he was involved in tastings, events, and sharing wines with a real sense of place behind them. Along the way, John developed a particular interest in how environment and landscape influence what we taste in the glass. With a background in environmental science, geology, and botany, he enjoys giving a bit of context around the wines—nothing heavy, just enough to add another layer if you’re curious. Now working freelance around Ireland, John focuses on tastings and collaborations that bring wine together with food, art, and good conversation.
