The subscriptions of members constitute a major element of our funding. Members of Lavit Gallery ensure that this long-established venue is enabled to continue providing exhibition space for established and emerging artists.

Alternatively, you may complete and print a Lavit Gallery Membership Form and forward it with your remittance to the gallery.

Benefits of Membership

• Your subscription makes a valuable contribution to our annual programme by supporting exhibitions such as our Student of the Year Award, and events, like our Art & Coffee: Artist Talk series.
• As a member, we will send you an email invitation, to invite you to all Exhibition Opening Nights and any other functions the Gallery may undertake on behalf of its membership.
• As a member you will be able to submit up to three pieces of artwork to be considered for inclusion in the Annual Members’ Exhibition. Hand-in and selection takes place in January and the show takes place in February.
• You will be supporting the arts in Ireland, and more particularly in Cork, and as a result, will be contributing to the city’s vibrant arts and cultural scene.

What is the membership for?

Membership subscriptions constitute a large part of our funding, and by becoming a member you are helping to ensure that this long established venue can continue to maintain a space for exhibitions in Cork City.

Who can become a member, do you have to be an artist?

Membership is open to all. It is for anyone who would like to contribute to the arts in Cork City and all are welcome to join and support us.

How much is it?

Prices vary depending on the type of membership you want, they are: student/senior €20, individual €40, couple €45, life membership is also available for €300 and corporate membership for €600

What are the benefits?

Members are invited to all exhibition opening nights, artist talks, and any other functions the gallery may undertake on behalf of its membership. You are making a valuable contribution to our exhibition programme. We also invite members to submit up to three pieces of artwork to be considered for inclusion in our Annual Members Exhibition.

What is the members’ exhibition?

The Annual Members’ Exhibition is a highlight of our yearly programme. We invite our membership to submit up to three artworks for consideration. There is a submission fee of €10 per artwork and an independent selection committee is invited to choose. Selected submissions then go on display in our largest exhibition of the year. You do not need to be a professional artist to submit. Each work is selected anonymously and while there is no guarantee of selection those lucky could have three selected.

Our selectors are changed each year to add to the diversity of the exhibition.
