Lavit Gallery Seeks New Board Members
Lavit Gallery is seeking letters of interest from suitably qualified candidates to support and engage with the continued growth of the gallery and its activities. We are looking for Board Members with the following knowledge, skills or experience: Law, Human Resources, Fundraising, Retail, and Marketing & Business Development.
It is also important to have knowledge or interest in
- Passion, proactive commitment and enthusiasm for visual arts
- Commercial or Corporate expertise
- Strategic planning and delivery
- Understanding of the not-for-profit and charities sectors
About Lavit Gallery
Established as a not-for-profit organisation in 1963, Cork Arts Society t/a Lavit Gallery, supports artists through its annual exhibition programme. Primarily showcasing the work of Cork based artists, but also presenting work by leading Irish and International names, the Lavit Gallery promotes both emerging and established artists while also stimulating and challenging Cork audiences through its ambitious programme. Through their continued support of the Lavit Gallery, patrons actively champion the visual arts in the Cork region.
The society is limited by guarantee, is not-for-profit, and is also a registered charity [No. CHY 13297] with its charitable status granted for the purpose of the advancement of education in the arts by maintaining a gallery for the display of works of art.
