Fledglings ’18

Recent Graduates of CIT Crawford College of Art and Design

The Lavit Gallery is delighted to present Fledglings ’18, an exhibition from selected recent graduates of the CIT Crawford College of Art and Design. The exhibition will be opened by Catherine Fehily, Head of CIT Crawford College of Art and Design, Thursday 13^th September, between 5.30pm – 7.30pm

Each year, Lavit Gallery selects stand-out artists from CIT Crawford College of Art and Design Degree show to exhibit in the group show ‘Fledglings’. Artists are selected from both Fine Art, and Contemporary Applied Art (ceramics, glass, textiles).

This year’s artists work in a range of media, including painting, drawing, ceramic, glass, installation and performance. Exhibiting artists are Cara Brophy, Catherine Callanan, Roisin Everard, Aileen Farnan, Ciaran Farrell, Muireann Kelleher, Dori O’ Connell, Anna O’ Riordan, Edaein Samuels, and Anne-May Tabb

This exhibition is part of the Lavit Gallery’s longstanding commitment to the arts in Cork, and it is a privilege to continue supporting and to encourage emerging artists through our annual graduate student exhibitions.

The exhibition will continue until 22^nd September 2018

ART & COFFEE: ARTIST TALK

Join us 11am, Saturday 15^th September for a cup of coffee. We will have some of the artists in the gallery to chat about the work.

 

CULTURE NIGHT

Culture Night, Friday 21st September, ‘Labours of the Months’ will be performed by Muireann Kelleher at 6.00 pm.
