Born in Dublin in 1945, Tim Goulding was educated at Winchester College. He was awarded a two-year scholarship to study Textile Design at the State School of Art in Stockholm. He is largely self-taught as a painter. Selected solo exhibitions include the Carrol Gallery (Longford), the Rubicon Gallery (Dublin), the 1999 West Cork Chamber Music Festival and the Vanguard Gallery (Cork). His work has also been seen in numerous group exhibitions, including Sense of Ireland (London), The Great Book of Ireland (IMMA Dublin), Iontas (Sligo), and the Royal Hibernian Academy (Dublin).

 

Goulding lives and works near Allihies on the Beara peninsula, West Cork.  He is a member of Aosdana, an affiliation of artists set up by The Irish Arts Council in 1993 to honour those artists whose work has made an outstanding contribution to the arts in Ireland. His work is in the collection of The Arts Councils of Ireland and Northern Ireland and many other public and private collections.
